A Note from the Principal:

Welcome to Cameron Elementary School, home of YOE PRIDE! Cameron Elementary School has a rich history of academic excellence. Our community, students, and school staff work cooperatively to provide the positive pathways students need to be successful in society. While we take great pride in achieving the first “Recognized” rating in the history of our campus this year, we are looking forward to taking it to the next level and becoming “Exemplary”!

It is our job to provide support and guidance to insure a positive experience in our “small school” environment. We strongly encourage new and current students to be a part of some club or organization within the school. This is a great way to make new or more friends, and it creates ownership in the school.

The philosophy of this school is based up on our belief that the school's prime purpose involves giving each student an excellent opportunity toward mental, social and physical growth. We will provide the environment that will enable our students to be increasingly effective in meeting the situations that will face our students in life.

We as a faculty feel that we must accept each child as an individual and challenge them to accomplish as much as possible. Our curriculum, then, must contain the required subject matter and be flexible enough to meet the child's needs. In addition, we must offer opportunities for the students to understand themselves and the American way of life.

We hope you and your child have a wonderful learning experience this year at Cameron Elementary School. If at any time you have any questions, please contact me at (254)697-2381 or at kdriska@CameronISD.net or feel free to stop by any time.

To Recognized and Beyond,

The students will again be using Study Island during their computer lab time and during the after school Cameron Prep School tutorial time. Several teachers are also planning on using the program as a center/station in the classroom.
If you have Internet access your child can log onto the site at home.
1. Go to www.studyisland.com
2. Student enters their user name
“Last name@ces”
3. Student enters “ces” for the password
4. Student selects the subject tab they would like to work in or their teacher has suggested they work in, then begins.
Please contact me if you have any questions about the program or how to access it and I will track down the needed information for you.
