Important Test dates
Vocab test over the Bill of rights packet and Political Developments in Early republic Feb. 2nd.
Unit test over Bill of Rights and Political Developments in Early Republic Feb. 9th.
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:
To replace a student’s lowest test grade with a 100, they must write down and transfer to paper the Bill of Rights. These are as follows:
I. Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion, and Petition
II. Right to Bear Arms
III. Conditions for quartering soldiers
IV. Right of Search and seizures
V. Provisions concerning prosecution
VI. Right to a speedy trial, witnesses etc.
VII. Right to a trial by jury
VIII. Excessive bail, cruel punishment
IX. Rule of Construction of Constitution
X. Rights of the States under Constitution
All students have learned these rights and have them in their notes and have copied them down.
For it to count as a 100 they must get them in order and be correct. I.E. II reads “right to bear Arms” it would be wrong if the student wrote “Right to Arms”
Again, they will have this opportunity on Feb. 9 when they take their Unit test.

Homework in Texas History Classes: |
*Homework is not assigned on a regular basis in my Texas History Classes. As a general rule… the only homework in my class may be to study for major tests and to work on projects outside of class. On the average day, we will not have homework in my class. HOWEVER, if a student is absent, he or she may have to do some homework as make-up work that was missed. Also, a student may be given an opportunity to complete classwork at home if he or she is unable to finish assigned work in class. This is not required by the teacher, but is usually a request from a student or their parents. This also includes extra credit assignments requested by a student or a parents, not the teacher. Please email me or call me if you have any questions regarding this matter. Thank you and have a Happy New Year! - K. Barrett |
